What is the hardest thing, you struggle to understand or grasp in the Bible? Is it an event, like Jonah and the whale (large fish)? Or maybe it's one of the books, like Revelation? Or could it be the Israelites, who never seem to learn from their past mistakes and groaned to God all the time? It is ok to not understand.. God will reveal everything later. Right now, we just need to trust and believe in our Lord and creator.
What do you think about the story of creation? Have you ever thought about how God created the world? How it only took Him six days and yet this world is so complex. We look at the world’s beauty in awe and amazement. We even plan vacations to see the beauty He created and beyond. God orchestrated every detail and gave it a purpose. Every day we explore and find out new information. How it was created, and its purpose it has. With all we know how can we not see that God could be the only one who could have created it?
In Genesis 1 we read the story of creation. To us, it sounds so simple. He said and it was. God is God! He doesn’t have to figure out all the details in order to make something. He already knows. It is man who has to work on things for days, weeks, months or even years before he can release an idea. We continue to work on the issues and revise them to make them better. But God knew what He wanted before He even spoke. He commanded and it was good. He didn’t need to upgrade anything! He made it perfect the first time. In an instant God created everything and in an instant, God took it away when we sinned. It’s us who procrastinate and drag our feet to accept God. So He waits patiently for His last believer to come to Him. Once this happens, God will share His everlasting home with us, and Heaven will be more beautiful and breathe taking than Earth. Even the most exotic place won’t compare to God’s glorious kingdom.
What fascinates me is how complex everything is and how everything in God’s creation links together. Everything has a purpose. And everything has its proper spot, proper amount, and proper time. An example of this is the rock cycle. Rocks that are in rivers and streams weather away their minerals, which flow downstream to the land on the other side. Providing the minerals needed to help produce vegetation. The vegetation can then be used by the farmer or eaten by the animals of the land, allowing us to have two sources of food. The release of elements through silicate is one of the fundamental geochemical process shaping the environment of the planet and the primordial source of mineral nutritions in the soil (Schlesinger and Bernhardt, 2013). How amazing is that! Something hidden by the water is becoming one of our greatest assets to our daily needs. Scientists and medical experts discover new things about us and our world daily.
If we will believe the first five words of the Bible, In the beginning, God created... God will reveal the rest in time. Let's not worry about the things we don’t understand but focus on Him with our hearts, mind and soul. Don’t let doubt sway you from Him. Instead, look for the miracles and wonders He is still doing in this world.
